Beach Home Renovation - BP Designs - This 1997 Mediterranean vacation home was feeling a bit tired, so the homeowner requested a facelift to the existing kitchen and living areas. She was concerned that the kitchen felt closed-off and tight, so the overall design concept was to create an open plan connecting the kitchen and living area, and to incorporate a central breakfast bar into the new design. The overall direction was to create a monochromatic, simple interior with light walls and cabinets, contrasting dark-wood case pieces, neutral linen fabrics, and accents of ocean blue.
